Restoration Services

We are the only window builders in Florida that offer full service restoration of deteriorated windows and doors.  Most of our work is in historic districts where the reuse of original windows and doors is encouraged, if not required.

In accordance with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards, we use the gentlest means possible to remove lead paint and old, cracked putty: we carefully steam sashes.  Steaming sashes minimizes glass breakage and allows us to clearly see rotten wood.  We then make any necessary repairs, prime and re-glaze the sashes.

With our methods, less historic material goes to the landfill, no harsh chemical strippers are used and there are minimal air-borne contaminants.
